If the the announcement of new arcade hardware didn't knock your socks off, hold on to them for this one. Atlus will be showing off a new Goketsuji Ichizoku/Power Instinct game at AOU 2009. Holy FUCKING crap! This is even more out-of-the-blue. Especially since it's Atlus themselves, and not some upstart that picked up the license from the dumpster behind Atlus HQ. (The developer hasn't been confirmed yet, though.) The pics show at least one new character (most likely a sprite swap, but hey) and the rest of the graphics look like they recycle a lot of Matrimelee. Still, a 2D sprite-based fighter in 2009, arcades are back confirmed.
